When it comes to gas heating the best advice is to always ‘trust the triangle’. By this we mean you should only EVER use gas engineers that are registered on the Gas Safe Register this means that the gas engineer is legally allowed to work on boilers, cookers, fires and other gas appliances. You may also have heard of an engineer being CORGI registered, the Gas Safe Register replaced the CORGI in 2009.
The aim of the Gas Safe Register is to protect the public, namely against unsafe gas work, by educating consumers to only choose those who are Gas Safe registered and carrying out regular inspections of heating engineers they are able to help create a gas safety standard.
