This quotation is based between Total Energy Services and the ‘customer‘. This is the person who accepts the quotation.

This quotation is provided by our surveyor and shall not be used by other contractors for the purpose of quoting. Total Energy Services may also use sub-contractors to carry out the part or the whole of the contract.

All works will be carried out between the hours of 08.00 and 17.00 Monday to Friday but may on occasion need to use a reasonable amount of overtime to achieve completion. Should any overtime or unsociable working hours be used these will be discussed with the customer beforehand.

Total Energy Services shall be entitled to make a reasonable additional charge if work is varied by the customer.

Total Energy Services shall not be liable for delays or non-performance due to strikes, lock-outs, hostilities, act of god, acts of third parties, accidents or other events not within direct reasonable control.

The quotation is calculated on charges at the time it is prepared, the quotation is only valid for 3 months. Total Energy Services reserves the right to decline the work detailed on the contract should after a survey think fit to do so. Should this action become necessary, the liability of the Company in these circumstances is limited to the refund of any deposit paid by the customer and these sums will be refunded immediately. Any extra expenses incurred by the company or losses suffered shall be chargeable to the company.

Materials and appliances supplied under this contract shall remain the property of Total Energy Services until the full contract is paid in full.

We will require access of the property at all reasonable time whilst the work is being carried out. In this period the customer is responsible for clearing and replacing furniture and other household objects, carpets, vinyl’s and special flooring from the site of work (including the roof space). Total Energy Services  will lift and replace normal softwood floorboards where required. Painting of pipes, radiators and other fittings, the re-instatement of decorations and plaster work and replacement/modification of shelving etc will be the customer’s responsibility.

All necessary paperwork and authorisation will be obtained by Total Energy Services from governing bodies, etc before the start of installation.

If Total Energy Services are required to carry out pressure testing and purging of the customers pipe work and appliances where the connection of the meter outlet is required, the customer is to provide:

  1. Access at all times to enable the work to be carried out within a reasonable time scale.
  2. Continuity of work
  3. Electric power for the use of electrical tools and necessary lighting and ladders etc for the use on non domestic properties.

During this period we would expect free use of water, electricity and gas to enable us to complete the work in accordance with the contract.

Due to the company’s policy continuous improvements, the customer shall have the benefit of any modification the company may make to its products and procedures, albeit these changes may be made without prior notice to the customer.

Any concession, latitude or waiver allowed by the company at any time shall be without prejudice by strict and full rights under this contract and shall not prevent the company subsequently exercising such rights.

Where combined boilers are supplied, hot water flows will be reduced if more than one tap or outlet is used simultaneously. This is not a fault and is a characteristic of most combination boilers.

When Total Energy Services quote to install commercial gas catering equipment, if there is already a gas interlock on the system then we will presume that the extraction and ventilation system has been installed to the correct standards. If on point of commissioning the extraction and ventilation is not up to standards then the client will have to arrange to get this work sorted, so it complies with current regulations.

Our engineers may need to gain access to the main or garage roof of the property if a vertical flue is installed, condensation pipe coming from the loft etc.  Total Energy Services does not hold any liability for damage to a roof if engineers have to gain access.

The price Total Energy Services quotes includes the removal of all non dangerous materials including your old boiler and central heating parts we replace.

The contract price quoted is subject to any changes in Value Added Tax.

Payment of the contract will be due once an invoice has been produced to the customer and within 14th days at the latest unless the customer is entering into a credit agreement with Total Energy Services then  payment will be due immediately.

If the customer has entered into a Credit Agreement via the companies nominated finance provider (being Hitachi Credit) the terms of the agreement will apply as part of this contract.  If the credit agreement is cancelled at a later date, the subject relating to the terms of the 1974 Consumers Credit Act, the contract balance will become immediately payable. This does not affect your statutory rights.  If the finance documents are not returned and you are in supply of heating and water, an invoice will be issued for the full installation cost minus any deposits paid. If payment is not received within 7 days of the invoice date, Total Energy Services are entitled to report back to the credit reference agencies.

The boiler warranty is given direct from the boiler manufacturer and this is usually a parts and labour warranty. The warranty for external components such as a programmer supplied and fitted by Total Energy Services are only covered by a parts warranty.

  2. Any repair that is required as a result of anything other than a fault to the boiler or of failure of the boiler itself.
  3. Any damage caused by hard water scale deposits or sludge resulting from corrosion.
  4. Any damage, whether accidental, negligent, malicious or otherwise.

If you have arranged a loan agreement with our Finance corporate partner, you are within your legal rights to cancel this at any time within 14 days of signing the agreement but must be given in writing to Total Energy Services Ltd.
