The existing boiler was not working correctly and had become very unreliable. Therefore, a new energy efficient commercial Ideal Boiler was installed.
Prior to installation the existing system underwent a power flush. This procedure involves a special machine which attaches to the heating system to remove built up sludge and debris from the heating system. If the system contains a lot of sludge, it makes it harder for the water to pass through the heating system and in turn reduces the efficiency of the boiler. Debris and sludge will also affect the heat emitted from your radiators.
Prior to installing a new boiler, the central heating system will undergo a power flush or chemical clean to ensure the new boiler has a clean efficient system to run off. A magnetic filter was installed to further protect the system. A magnetic filter collects any future debris to help prevent a build up within your system. Without a magnetic filter, sludge will build back up again.
