Commercial boilers essentially work in the same way as a domestic boiler. Typically a boiler is classed as a commercial boiler if its output is over 70kW. Commercial boilers tend to be supplied by 35mm gas pipework. They should only ever be worked on by Gas Safe (Natural gas / LPG) or OFTEC (oil) engineers and technicians.

Your commercial boiler needs to be serviced regularly to ensure the boiler continues to work efficiently. Failure to maintain your commercial heating system can lead to costly breakdowns. If your boiler is inefficient it will require more fuel to produce the same amount of heat as its well-maintained counterpart. Often fuel bills are much higher for an older inefficient boiler.
