Our customer lives in the pretty town of Gillingham, right in the heart of the Blackmore Vale, Dorset.
During the customers annual service, the boiler was found to have multiple faults and due to its age it was decided it was time to upgrade to an energy efficient model.
Initially the customers system underwent a power flush. A power flush or chemical cleanse cleans your heating system, removing any sludge or debris that may has built up. A system clean prior to having a new boiler installed is always highly recommended, in fact most manufacturers state this as a prerequisite to keeping your warranty valid.
Even if you are not having a new boiler, you may have noticed your radiators developing cold spots or perhaps your boiler is being excessively noisy. This is most likely signs that your central heating system needs cleaning.
Our engineer will connect a pump to your central heating system, which pushes chemicals through the pipes, boiler and radiators. These chemicals work by removing, rust and limescale. The whole process varies in time as it will depend on the number of radiators in your home, the age of the system and the gravity of the debris.
The Worcester Greenstar Ri boiler is a compact, wall mounted boiler that is great for both small and medium sized homes. This boiler is also perfect as a direct replacement for an older Worcester Ri.
Due to this boilers compact size it can be installed within a standard kitchen or utility cupboard. The Worcester Ri boilers can be used in conjunction with the high efficiency Greenstore cylinders allowing you to benefit from a complete Worcester system in your home.
This boiler also comes with a 10 year warranty when installed by a Worcester accredited installer such as Total Energy Services.
In order to benefit from the fantastic 10 warranty on this boiler along with the system being cleansed prior to the new boiler being installed a magnetic filter must also be installed.
The Greenstar system filter has been specifically designed to fight the damaging effects that a build up of sludge and debris can have on your system. Worcester has also recently bought out a mini system filter which has all the great benefits of the original filter but in a more compact size which is perfect for smaller and medium sized homes.
