There isn’t an exact time frame of how long your heating oil will last as the reality is everyone’s usage is different so whilst we cant say for certain when you would need your tank re filling the average UK home uses 2,000 litres of heating oil in a year.
Its really important not to let your oil tank run too low and worse still dry. If your oil levels run too low the accumulated dirt and sediment at the bottom of the tank will be pumped through your boiler, pipework and radiators, most likely causing damage. This can lead to a costly boiler breakdown.
